Hmm where to start, I'm sure everyone hates myspace to a certain degree. Probably because it's mostly full of 12 year olds trying to collect as many friends as they can.

I don't actually hate it too much for that reason, from my own point of view it allows me to keep tabs on a few unsigned bands I like that only have myspace as a way of contact to the world, I can easily find out when and where gigs are happening.

Having thought about the above comment you could actually just replace myspace with lots of proper band websites which I'm sure would be just as adaquate.

I think I hate the way myspace makes me feel. It's a deceitful website, and I'm sure photoshop could use it as an advert. Why does everyone on there look so good?
Obviously with the power of being your own art editor you can choose how people will perceive you, and if you can't find a good enough picture you can edit one to your hearts content.

Secondly it's so easy to become "absorbed" or even stalker like on there. For example, my boyfriend has a page, which I will check every now and then, and then a girl might happen to add him as a friend, and OH MY GOD quick check her page, does she look better than me? Is she living in the area? Have I met her before? Does she already have a boyfriend?

And suddenly I'm over taken by a paranoia that I wouldn't even have if it wasn't for that bloody site. Then after a some what brief 5 min panic I realise that I'm not really that bothered and I have just as many blokes on my page, and after all it is probably just a 12 year old trying to collect friends.

Being even more brutily honest I wouldn't want to be dating someone that ran the risk of starting a relationship on an online networking program.

All this is just to demostrate my point that somehow myspace is actually the devil and I still can't work out why I get excited when someone has left me a comment and I get to see a little red sign telling me so. Oh and also I obviously have myspace issues I need to address

Atleast it's easier to use than bloody facebook though.

Wow, my first entry in my first online blog.
It's one of those things where everyone else had one so I thought I should start, having to always be someone who follows the crowd I guess if you actually knew me then you'd know that wasn't very true.

I'm a student studying at a university in the UK. I'm studying for a degree in mechanical engineering, it's not easy and so I get really fustrated with people on what I like to think are "99p" type courses.

I say fustrated, I'm actually just jealous that they don't have to be in lectures as often as me or complete as many assignments....maybe I am becoming a grumpy old lady in my 20's. It's possible.

Any-hoo, I realised that I am just your typical student, paranoid, tired, hungover and more often than not skint. So i figured that starting a blog would be a good thing for my procrastinating. It might actually be a bit more productive than "facebook".

We shall see.
